Desiring God

Have you every desired something so bad that you are willing to do anything for it? What about desiring something that could completely save your life? To desire something is to have strong feeling of wanting to have something or wishing for something to happen according to Webster. Desire biblically is to wish for the possession or enjoyment of, with a greater or less degree of earnestness; to covet, it expresses less strength of affection than longing. Desiring God is to want or to wish for his presence and everything that comes with him being there. God wants us to desire him, to want him more than anything in this world. He wants us to want him and him alone, and not to desire anything else. He gives us the desires but we must desire him first. He wants to know that we will do anything to have him. God wants to know that we make him a requirement for our lives, in everything that we do, that we require him to be there, walking ahead of us.
