Façade?

As we grow in our Christian walk, we are to become mature and produce. But how can you have a mature apple tree without any apples? How can a mature Christian be mature and not produce fruit? Jesus came to a mature fig tree, that looked as if it was producing figs but it was all a façade because there were no figs. Later on he went to clear the temple because once again the people where not producing fruit. We are not to look like we’re producing fruit, but we to actually produce fruit internally. But how do we do that, how do we produce fruit? By the clearing of the temple! We are to allow the Spirit to clear our temple of anything not of God and full us up with fruit producing seeds! As we mature in our walk, let’s start producing fruit, fruit of the spirit in our lives!

“He noticed a fig tree in full leaf a little way off, so he went over to see if he could find any figs. But there were only leaves because it was too early in the season for fruit.”
