Stripped Away

Before we allowed God to be the head of our lives, we were walking round aimlessly, with no direction or guidance, doing whatever it was that our flesh desired. If our fleshed desired sin we would we sin and that was that. But, when we accepted Christ as our Lord, we are formed with purpose, direction and guidance. He strips us away from things not set on him and add marvelous fruit to our nature. He sands Us down and smooths our sharp edges. We, as new natures in Christ, are circumcised from our sinful nature and in the process we gained life. Life to live with Christ, eternal life, and a set the table!

“When you came to Christ, you were “circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision—the cutting away of your sinful nature.”
