The Desolate Place

Desolate. Desolate. Desolate. Is the only word that plays in my head back and fourth. Have you ever been in a desolate place ? A place of emptiness or depressingly bare? Being in that desolate place can cause us to be a desolate woman. Joyless, disconsolate, and sorrowful all describes the desolate woman in the desolate place. We are to never know when life experiences will hit that may leave us in this place may happen, but when it happens who do you tell? How long do you stay there? Will this place ever be filled with joy? Will God come through? These are the questions that we often ask ourselves. I’m here to remind you of what God says! He says he is the living well that fills us up! In that moment of emptiness, in that moment of being joyless and sorrowful, be reminded of what God can do and it will last for the rest of your life. We don’t have to stay in the state of being desolate when we can live as a women being filled by the Spirit!
